On top of your pool, a daily bonus refill arrives at midnight UTC. Can't save them, can't carry them over. Bonuses encourage daily use, and keep your colony warm between heavy days.

HC is OpenHive's unit of work. Every step a Worker takes (a model call, a tool use, an orchestration hop) costs some HC. One HC is roughly a thousand tokens of hive-llm (our default model). Plans give you a monthly pool, plus a daily bonus. You can buy more as Credit Packs whenever.
Bonus Credits arrive every midnight UTC: 50 on Starter, 150 on Pro. They're designed to keep your colony warm between heavy days. Bonuses are use-it-or-lose-it: they don't accumulate or roll over to the next day, but you can always spend them alongside your monthly HC pool.
Your Queen pauses new delegations and emails you a heads-up. In-flight work finishes, but no new runs start until you refill. You can set a default auto-refill ceiling so the colony keeps working, or leave it manual for hard cost caps.

Yes. The macOS, Windows, and Linux desktop apps are free forever and fully self-hosted. Your Workers run on your machine, your model keys stay in your keychain, and nothing leaves your network. HC is only billed when you use hive-hosted models or Cloud Hive runtime.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and pro-rate your current cycle. Downgrades land at the end of your billing period, and your HC balance rolls over up to your new plan's monthly pool. Annual plans can be switched mid-cycle, too. We'll credit the unused months.
OpenHive is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified. Worker memories, prompts, and tool logs are encrypted at rest with per-colony keys you own. You can pin workloads to a region, export everything as plain text files, or purge on a schedule. Your data is never used to train shared models.
